Perplexity Labs: How I Built an End-to-End AI Project and Loved Every Bit of It
Ever had that feeling when tech delivers on its promises? That’s precisely what happened when I tried Perplexity Labs. It let me build a full AI-powered project from start to finish — no fluff, no confusion. Just real tools that work. And along the way, I ended up diving deep into Portugal’s booming Web3 scene, thanks to one of the slickest end-to-end experiences I’ve had with generative AI so far (not perfect, some numbers are wrong, but the ability to build a deck is the best I have seen so far).

What Is Perplexity Labs?
Perplexity Labs is a new platform from the team behind Perplexity AI, designed for anyone who wants to create and launch generative AI projects — whether you're a seasoned developer or simply curious about what AI can do for your ideas.
It’s essentially like having a team of data scientists, writers, designers, and market researchers all rolled into one tool. And the best part? You don’t need to code everything from scratch. It’s modular, visual, and surprisingly intuitive.
I used it to create a complete strategic presentation on Web3 in Portugal, and here's what I discovered — both from the tool and the topic.
Building an AI Project Without the Headaches
The experience was magical, honestly. Perplexity Labs let me:
Generate research summaries: I pulled in real-time info, news articles, and technical documents on Portugal's Web3 growth.
Draft and rewrite whole sections of content using conversational AI prompts — no need to rephrase stuff manually.
Design a PowerPoint deck with the tone and style of a top consulting firm (think McKinsey/Bain).
Refine visuals and structure with AI feedback — it even suggested where to put infographics!
And yes — it helped make sense of over 60 pages of data, turning it into something that feels professional yet readable.

The End Result: Web3 in Portugal Is... Legit.
Through this project, I learned that Portugal isn’t just riding the Web3 hype train — it’s driving it.
Here are a few jaw-dropping facts I uncovered while building the deck:
Portugal captured 36% of all venture capital (VC) funding in the country through blockchain-related projects. That’s huge.
They’ve got a €72 million national blockchain plan (BLOCKCHAIN.PT) with 56 partners building actual tech, not just whitepapers.
Lisbon is now a physical hub for Web3 innovation, with spaces like Poolside and Kübe bringing together devs, founders, and researchers.
Oh — and they’ve also got tax perks. Crypto held longer than a year? No capital gains tax. Take that, IRS.
The only downside? While Portugal leads in infrastructure and startup activity, consumer adoption still lags behind that of other countries. However, that means there is more room to grow.

Final Thoughts: A Glimpse of the Future
We’re entering an era where tools like Perplexity Labs make powerful tech accessible to everyone. You don’t need to be a coder or an analyst to build something profound. And as countries like Portugal prove, if you back talent with the right tools and policies, the sky's the limit.
So, whether you're looking to explore AI, blockchain, or test-drive your next big idea, I’d say give Perplexity Labs a go.
If it helped me build a Web3 market report that could sit comfortably in a boardroom, imagine what it could help you create.
